Panchase Trekking

 

Panchase is a beautiful village which lies underneath the high caps of Annapurna Himalayan range. This trekking is one of the famous short treks in Nepal. Panchase trek is a spectacular short trek with excellent views of snow caped Mountains.
The trail includes some ethnic villages, scenic waterfalls and big forest with rhododendron. A rare combination of snow-capped peaks, beautifully spread lakes, and turbulent rivers with deep gorges makes this trek a very special one. The tour around ethnic Gurung village is something that you never forget of in future. It offers a chance to observe the wonderful life style of local Gurung people. Trekkers will be enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchare and more from the topmost point of the trek – Panchase hill.


 Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu ( KTM) and Transfer to Hotel .

Day 02: Kathmandu - Trisuli river - Pokhara
Four hours drive to Trisuli river put in point. White water rafting, followed by scenic drive to Pokhara.

Day 03: Pokhara - Bumdi
Drive to Khare and start trek. Walk through the villages and forest more up and less falter hill. After four hours walk arrive Bumdi. Late lunch and camping.

Day 04: Bumdi - Panchase Bhanjyang
Walk up hill for about an hour and then descend through forest with panoramic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

Day 05: Panchase Bhanjyang - Bhaudare
After breakfast climb to Panchase danda for the spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Annapura I, II, III, Iv, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. Then descend to Bhanjyang for Lunch. After Lunch proceed to walk through the northern side of Panchase Danda and forest for about 3 and half hours and camp at Bhaudare, the Gurung villages known as Gurkhas villages.

Day 06: Bhaudare - Naudanda - Pokhara
Flat walk through interesting villages for about 4 hours to arrive at Naudanda and drive to Pokhara.

Day 07: Royal Chitwan National Park
Drive to Prithivi Highway makes “breaking off” the journey easy. Trisuli is also an ideal beginner's river. After rafting drive to Chitwan National Park upon arrival, lunch will be served, rooms assigned and there will be a short briefing on the program and our facilities. 4:00 PM: Elephant-back safari: Guests will ride on an elephant to explore the jungle and wildlife. You will be able to see one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours. 7:00 PM: Dinner in the central dining hall. After dinner: Slide presentation. One of our jungle experts will introduce background data and history of the Royal Chitwan National Park as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Your questions are most welcome.

Day 08: Royal Chitwan National Park
5:30 AM: Wake-up call followed by tea or coffee, then proceed on a Nature Walk. This encounter on foot with the environment will introduce the main features of eastern Chitwan. Sal forest, open grassland and revering jungle. Our guides will help you identify some species of birds, plants and other wildlife that you may encounter. 8:30 AM: Breakfast 9:30 AM: Elephant briefing programme: Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stables.(For the brave ones there is even a crash course in riding and leading the elephants) 1.00 PM: Lunch Remaining hours before the afternoon program: take a dip in the pool, or relax on your verandah. Hammocks and the library are at your disposal. 4:00 PM: Canoeing :A traditional dug-out canoe takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti river to view aquatic birds and the animals of the river banks. Back to the resort through the Jungle. 7:00 PM: Tharu Stick dance: Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances. 8:00 PM: Dinner around the campfire.

Day 09: Royal Chitwan National Park - Kathmandu
5.30 AM: Bird Watching (or another elephant ride) after early morning tea/coffee. 8.00 AM: Breakfast 9.00 AM: Luggage down and departure at 9.39 AM. to Kathmandu. The actual program for your stay, will be given to you on arrival at Resort camp. The activities are adjusted to the length of your stay, the season and present weather conditions. Naturally, it may not always be possible to follow this schedule to the minute and the circumstances may force us to alter the program at short notice. On safari in the jungle you will be accompanied by expert naturalists who will advise on safety procedures and we request you to respect their judgement at all times. If you wish to stroll in the forest alone, a guide will have to accompany you for your safety.


Day 10: Kathmandu
Sightseeing tours to Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. The Kathmandu Valley consists of three main cities of great historic and culture interest: Kathmandu, Lalitpur (Patan) and Bhaktapur. The valley covers an area of 218 sq. miles and is situated 1310m above sea level.

Day 11; Kathmandu Airport Transfer
After breakfast drive to Airport for your onward destination.
